Situated in Red Beach, Palo, Leyte, the monument marks the spot where General Douglas MacArthur landed with the American Liberation Forces in 1944. The statues of the liberators stand in a lagoon, 1.5 times bigger than lifesize. It is also the site of the 50th Leyte Landing Anniversary Commemorative Rock Garden of Peace. A beautiful beach can be found in the area. |

The San Juanico Bridge, formerly the Marcos Bridge, is a Compression arch bridge in the Philippines stretching from Samar to Leyte crossing the San Juanico Strait. It is part of the Pan-Philippine Highway. It is the longest bridge in the Philippines spanning a body of water with a length of 2.16 kilometers (1.34 mi). |

The museum containing a chapel that preserves the replica of the Sto. Niño de Leyte. There are ecclesiastical antiques and art collections assembled by native daughter Mrs. Imelda Marcos. There are also some decorative arts from France, Italy and Germany.

Lake Danao is a guitar-shaped lake covering an area of 148 hectares. Viewed from the top, it looks like an uncut diamond thrown into a rugged topography of verdant growth, glimmering with magnificence. Hemmed by the cloudcapped Amandiwin mountain range, the lake is about 15 kilometers northeast of Ormoc City and is only a half hour drive along the all-weather Tongonan national road. |
