Apo Island is a volcanic island covering 74 hectares in land area, 7 kilometers off the southeastern tip of Negros Island in the Philippines.

Bais City is known for its proximity to a protected marine sanctuary in the Tañon Strait. Dense Mangrove forrests line Bais Bay. This is a natural feeding ground for cetaceans.

Canlaon volcano (also spelled Kanlaon), the most active of the central Philippines, forms the highest point on the island of Negros.

The Bais City Bird Sanctuary and Mangrove Park is a 400-hectare mangrove forest located in Bais City, Negros Oriental. It serves as a natural habitat and nesting ground for many bird species and other wildlife.
