The Biggest rock filled dam in Asia, Ambuklao Hydroelectric Dam is considered one of the huge projects that happened in the Cordillera Area, one of the first two Dams constructed along Agno River (the other is Binga DAM) during the early 1950's. Concerning it's hydraulic structure, NPC's Ambuklao Dam, have a height of nearly 100 m in the upstream of the Agno.

 

 

The dam which was constructed along the Agno River is 215 meters (705.4 feet) long and 107.37 meters (352.3 feet) high with a 94.50-meter (310 feet) long spillway. It is made of earth and rockfill and has 6 Tainter gates measuring 12.5 meters by 12 meters (41 feet by 39.4 feet) with hoists that are motor driven.

 

 

Kabayan Mummy Burial Caves, located at the Municipality of Kabayan in Benguet, Mountain Province, is one of the recognized UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Philippines. The caves show cultural evidences of the Ibalois - the dominant ethnolinguistic group of the area - who practiced mummification prior to the Spanish colonization.

 

 

There are several trails.Kabayan the killer trail, Ambangeg, Babadac the easiest.Mossy forest. The highlights are the grasslands after the forest. No trees , no rivers, no birds. Nothing but the sky and rolling hills.The summit has a rare grass that grows there which is similar to the edelweiss of the swiss alps(dwarf bamboo as they call it locally).

 

 

Kennon Road connects Baguio City with the town of Rosario, La Union in the Philippines. It was originally called the Benguet Road and was later named in honor of its builder, Col. Lyman Kennon of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Coming from Manila or the provinces in the central plains of Luzon, it is the shortest route up to Baguio
